Seoul has been ranked
the No. 3 international conference city in the world for a third consecutive
year. During ‘2018 Seoul MICE Week,’ which was held for two days starting Nov. 22 under the joint

and Exhibition/Event) gathered to discuss ways to develop Seoul into the world’s
leading MICE city.
‘Seoul MICE Week’ was launched in 2014 to raise people’s

hold MICE events in Seoul and members of the Seoul MICE Alliance and ‘Seoul MICE Forum,’ under the theme ‘Strategies to Secure Competitiveness in Global MICE.’
In particular,
members of the Seoul MICE Alliance (SMA), an organization for public-private cooperation under the auspices of SMG, discussed the networking
efforts and activities they had been engaged in for the past year at the annual
meeting of SMA. In addition, 7 individuals who contributed to the development
of MICE industry in Seoul were awarded citations from the mayor of city of Seoul.
On Friday, ‘MICE Future Talent Day’ was held for the general public who are interested in the MICE
industry to build their understanding of MICE through a quiz contest, mentoring
talk concert, etc. that were easily accessible to the general public.
Ju
Yong-tae, Director of Tourism & Sports Bureau in SMG said, “The
event provides a good opportunity for global experts and people concerned in
the industry to meet in one place, share information and strengthen networking
for the promotion of MICE industries in Seoul. We will spare no efforts in supporting Seoul,
